Christmas and lots of catch up blogs!

Wow I can't believe another Christmas and new year has already come and gone! Christmas was a blast this year! It was so fun to see the kids get excited and tear into their presents and stockings. Emmy loved the big huge bear that papa bought for all the grand kids to play with. She also loved her baby doll with its own diaper bag and car seat, she is quite the little mommy! New year we had a little fondue party at Shelly's house and played games. Believe it or not the kids stayed up the whole time and at midnight banged on pots and pans to bring the new year in, they thought it was pretty neat!
The rest of the blogs below are all my catch ups because I slacked again! So everything down to Halloween is all new posts. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!!

A night at temple square

On a quick trip to salt lake, me, Dave, Emmy, and my mom, dad, and Sharrod stopped by temple square to see the christmas lights. It was beautiful as always and one of my favorite things at christmas time.

Lake Havasu

On way back from Arizona we decided to stop at Lake Havasu to stretch our legs and eat some lunch. We had a blast and got to see some neat things too!

Thanksgiving/Family Reunion in Arizona

For thanksgiving we headed down to Arizona for a Hancock Family Reunion, that's my mom's mom's family. My Great grandma is an amazing woman who delivered and raised 14 children!!!! Any woman who can live through that should be given a Nobel prize along with a couple million dollars if you ask me! Needless to say the reunions are always very large even when everyone cant make it. It always amazes me how organized and smooth everything goes even with all those people! It was great to be able to visit and catch up with my grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins I have not seen in a couple of years. The food is always amazing and there is always fun activity's going on every day. It was a great Thanksgiving full of food and tons of family!

Hunting

In October Dave's dad flew out to salt lake to go hunting with his boys. They assured him that that they would have the greatest hunting spot ever and that camp would be all set up before he even got there. Of course this did not happen. Instead he got loaded down with camping and hunting gear, dragged up the side of a very steep mountain with that slippery shell rock all over it at 2:30 in the A.M.! luckily they all made it up alive and had a good time and made some great memories.

buffalo & elk in springdale

This is a Saturday in September that we all decided to hop in the car and drive up to Springdale (that little town right before you get into Zion National Park) for lunch at Oscars Cafe, they have really really good food! After lunch we walked down the street to show Emmy the elk and buffalo they have there. She thought they were pretty neat but lost interest as soon as she saw the cat. It was pretty cool though cause they have little bags full of pellets that you can donate a couple bucks for and feed them. I was surprised at how long the buffalo's tongues were!!!
Catching a bit to eat at yummy Oscars cafe Emmy really wanted to play with that cat!
